Improved productivity through high speed + vibration control
HST robots provide the tools and means to improve productivity in the form of high-speed operation and comprehensive vibration controls. Higher speeds have been achieved by employing the Optimal Design approach to reduce the mass of moving parts, while improved vibration damping of the CFRP arm is combined with anti-vibration measures to shorten settling time.
Optimal design
Optimal Design is what Yushin calls their use of CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) to determine the theoretically best configuration of a robot based on its mechanisms and movements. This approach has been used in recent years to make airplanes and automobiles lighter and more reliable.
Winner of the JSME Technology Award
In 2011, Yushin received the prestigious Technology Award from the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) for "developing high-performance extraction robots for molding machines through structural optimization."
